Kenyan dancehall artist Wyre has been nominated in the World's Best Male Artist At The World Music Awards.The Nakupenda Pia singer has been nominated in the same category with world heavyweights such as Jay Z, 50 Cent, Asap Rocky, Pharell among others.

African artists nominated in that category are Nigerias , Banky W, Wizkid and DBanj. Ugandas Chameleon also made the list alongside Congos Fally Ipupa and South Africas Loyiso. They will battle it out with the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Future who is also in this category.

The WORLD MUSIC AWARDS honours the best-selling recording artists from every continent. The WORLD MUSIC AWARDS are presented on sales merit and voted by the public on the Internet. There is no jury involved and the Awards truly reflect the most popular artists as they are determined by the actual fans that vote and buy the records.

Wyres Music distributors Mtech Kenya may have played a role as part of Wyres music distribution machinery considering the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) provides the organization with the names of the best-selling artists from all major territories based on sales volumes.

The world's best-selling recording-artists in each category are determined by a thorough enquiry conducted by the organization, which includes sales figures and record certifications in 2013. In this Case Wyres collabo Nakupenda Pia which received traction across the world may have played a role in his nomination.

Awards for World's Best Male Artist, Best Female, Best Group, Best Electronic Dance Music Artist, Best Entertainer of the Year, Best Live Act, Best Song, Best Album and Best Video are voted online by the general public.

KASIMBA

KaSimba is a Kenyan reggae/dancehall artist who has been working over the years to release positive inspirational music. He is known for socially aware and conscious lyrics with a growing reputation from his energetic and captivating live shows. KaSimba has been based in Norway for the past decade&as a founding member of Groundation Movement,they were responsible for establishing&spreading Rastafari&Reggae culture in the country for many years. It was such effort that gave rise to the biggest reggae/dancehall artistes&soundsystems in Norway,such as Admiral P,  Jabaman& Nico D. In the past, he has also worked alot with youth programs/project to inspire,nurture&guide youth in different aspects of music culture&history where reggae/dancehall is concerned in countries like Norway,Sweden,France,Kenya&Senegal over a period of 10years.

KaSimba has released singles,"I want to know" for Tunesberg Entertainment/Partillo Productions and "Safari Boots" on a separate independent label. Recently he released a swahili mixtape; "Lion City Chronicles 2013"on his own label; Lion City Entertainment&he is currently working on his international releases. He performs in 4 languages&armed with his unique voice, variety in topic content and creativity you can be sure there is more music to be expected&anticipated from this rising lion.
